Game Boy
How do you combine a laptop, LEGO and Nintendo? This way, obviously. The laptop is a very old 486DX 100 I received for my high school graduation. It’s practically useless nowadays, and has some major problems (the battery no longer works) but I wanted to keep it alive somehow. So, I surrounded it in a classic Game Boy-looking case that I built from LEGO bricks and hung it on my wall, next to the refrigerator. I left open a small slit on the left side so that I can attach the LAN dongle and use VNC to make software changes. I currently have it running a screen saver that displays scenic photographs that change every twenty seconds. Unfortunately, the frequent pictures of waterfalls seem to remind me that I need to use the restroom, every time I go to the fridge for tea.
