Yep. As you may have already heard, I have formally resigned from Raytheon. In two weeks, I will be employed by “another company”. “Another company” approached me because of a new project they were going to start working on. Something very similar to Sneakers. It turned out, though, that they have even more projects going on that they and I think will be a perfect fit for me. It was really an answer to a year long prayer. As many people say when leaving a company, I will certainly miss many of the Raytheon employees. Some were great as mentors and others were always fun for an intelligent laugh. Of course, Ray had its downsides. It was, after all, in Norfolk. (You know, guns, theives, etc.) And things just weren’t going in a direction I wanted. So, when “another company” came around, I was very excited. I was also aprehensive. I had a good position at Ray, and that was something that I had to really consider. But in the end, I decided to take the risk. Perhaps it was getting married that got me over the whole, “let’s just keep things how they are” mentality that I have been stuck in most of my life. Gosh, I love her so much. So, anyway, “another company” will be good for the petrol tank as well. It’s three times closer. And, well, there are other things, but this post is way too long now, so, I’ll leave it that. I don’t intend to mention work again, since we all know the dangers of doing that in online journals (not f#$@ing blogs) so, if you need more details, just ask.
